Despite the annual cycle of drought and flood, and despite the poor soil, much of the outback is used for cattle and sheep. Not all the areas are fenced and we saw several of these signs. Many vehicles had strong "roo guards" protecting their radiators from animals which they might hit. This was a real danger, especially at night. Fish probably did not need to be represented on this sign. |
